The Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission is readvertising the position of Client Information Officer to join us in our Labasa Office.
About the role
As Client Information Officer, you will provide frontline client services and administrative support at our Labasa Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to help promote and protect human rights in Northern Division.
In this role, you will:
- Be the trusted first point of contact for members of the public.
- Guide and support clients through the complaints process.
- Maintain high-quality case and information records.
- Support investigations and case management activities by preparing files, coordinating documentation, and identifying emerging trends.
- Drive the smooth operation of the Labasa Office through administration, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Contribute to advocacy and education initiatives.
About you
We are looking for candidates with:
- A relevant qualification in administration, law, business, social sciences, or a related field.
- Prior experience in office support or complaints handling within a public sector, civil society or community organisation.
- Experience in case management, or information management or database management.
- Excellent communications skills, including experience in customer-facing roles or working closely with external stakeholders.
- Analytical, interviewing, and report-writing skills.
- Knowledge of the human rights landscape in Fiji.
About the Commission
The Commission is a statutory body established under the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji. It has a constitutional mandate to promote, protect, and uphold human rights across the country. The Commission works to develop a culture of human rights by educating the public about their rights and freedoms, receiving and investigating alleged violations, facilitating conciliations, and where necessary, seeking redress through the courts. It also provides recommendations to Government on laws and policies to ensure compliance with human rights standards, and monitors Fiji’s obligations under international human rights treaties and conventions.
The Commission has recently expanded its presence in the Northern Division, having opened its new Labasa Office on 15 July 2026. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of the Commission’s growth and to help establish a welcoming, responsive, and accessible service for communities in the North.

The starting salary for this role will be based on the range above, in line with preferred candidate’s experience and qualifications.
